The draft version of the ICT in
Education Guidelines document was launched by the ICT Learning Centre
in June 2001.
Strictly speaking, it
is three documents rolled into one, comprising a general section covering Aims
and Objectives targeting both Primary and Secondary Education, a
detailed list of the ICT Abilities and Behaviours
for Primary Schools and a set of examples
on how to actually embed these into the existing curriculum.
The next step of the
procedure is for the Guidelines Committee to
receive the relevant feedback from all Primary
teachers, and amend, enhance and revise accordingly.
